I generally only work with real stones but I got these faux pearls and decided I needed to use them. I had a spare gold setting from another project where the stone didn't end up fitting. I knew the dimensions I needed to make the smaller peyote piece work, but I didn't know how big the larger one would have to be in order to make it work. This was a super interesting thing to work with. It is entirely acrylic so that was odd. Usually I work with genuine stones so this was interesting. It had the tiniest bit of give which was weird, but also I wasn't worried about dropping and breaking it. I was afraid that the beads would cover up too much of the design but that didn't really end up being a problem. I really enjoyed this project and if shoppers like it too I might end up working on similar ones in the future.
