Agatized Coral Ribbon Necklace

Agatized coral, with its intricate patterns and ancient origin, is believed to possess healing properties that promote inner peace and emotional balance. It is said to aid in reducing stress and anxiety while enhancing creativity and a sense of tranquillity. Astrologically, it is connected to Taurus, an Earth sign known for its grounding and reliable qualities. Agatized Coral is believed to enhance intuition, encourage spiritual growth, and facilitate past-life recall. Chemically, Agatized coral is primarily composed of calcium carbonate, which, over geological timescales, is often replaced by minerals such as silica or calcite, preserving the coral's original structure

I wanted to try something a little bit different with this bezel. Instead of embellishing it with bicones I tried to twine beads around the edge. I wanted to mimic that rope twined look just a little bit. I think it worked, I think the idea can be workshopped a little bit more but I do really like how this one came out!

The smaller beads were supposedly grey, but I think they have a strong lilac leaning, maybe someone who understands color theory can explain that more to me. Either way I actually loved how the lilac grey looks against the agatized coral. It also gave me a really good in to be able to put the pendant on a purple ribbon necklace. I absolutely love the overall look, especially since I don't usually work in pastels so I was really nervous.
