Pink Black and Gold Dragon
So I did a pink black and gold commission and I said I usually wouldn't pair those colors together. I sorta forgot about this one. But in my defense on that one the gold and pink were in the back and the black was the belly so it does have a whole different vibe. Honestly I like that vibe a lot better. It just looks more elegant than this one. But this one is a bit more powerful, feels like a more fierce dragon. They are both great takes on the same color palette and I learn

Chrysoprase Peyote Twist Earrings
I made the tiger's eye twist earrings and I wanted to do it again. I don't have too many of this style of bead, the oblong ones. But I did have a string of these chrysoprase ones. And I had this gorgeous green luster beads that matched it perfectly. I love the look of the round pearls above the teardrops. Overall I think these came out well and I might need to get some more oblong beads so that I can make more of this style!

Picasso Red Dragon Bracelet
Red dragons always sell well, and this guy was no different. I was excited to use this picasso red instead of a translucent red. It does get tedious to always be using the same colors. But that being said I definitely think that this can be added to my repertoire as a solid color choice! And of course he had to have a gold belly! Maybe I will try one with a red belly, see how that tone on tone looks. I have been enjoying that style a lot recently.

Gold on Gold Dragon
I told you tone on tone was a win! I really love this muted gold and I definitely didn't get enough of it. I will have to remedy that with my next order. But, how amazing are the subtle hue shifts in this gold? They just give the scales so much depth and visual interest. I only have a translucent gold now but I will absolutely be getting more of this, the translucent is fun, but solid colors are where it is at!

Luna Moth Brick Stitch Earrings
I saw a pair of gorgeous luna moth earrings online and I knew I had to make my own! I used a lot of their design. (I don't know much about these moths.) But I did make a few changes to make it my own. I can't say it is my design, but I can say they are my earrings. I love these, I think the variegated green was the right call, luna moths are a bit more dainty, a bit lighter of a color, but I think the darker green fits my style really well! What other things should I try to

Green on Green Dragon Bracelet
This bracelet sold so quickly! But then, red and green dragons always do. I usually give green dragons gold bellys, but this time I am really happy I went with green. It just makes this dragon feel very saturated and I love the way the slightly translucent beads reflect the greens around inside the dragon is just so rich. Sad to see him go, but happy to have one be so loved that it went so fast!

Lapis Lazuli Spike Earrings
The Sumerians believed that the spirit of their gods lived within the stone, while the ancient Egyptians saw it as a symbol of the night sky. Since the earliest of times, Lapis Lazuli has been associated with increasing strength, courage, royalty, wisdom, intellect and truth. One of the most famous uses of the stone is in the death mask of King Tutankhamen, where it is inlaid with turquoise and carnelian in bright gold. One of his successors, Cleopatra, was reported to use gr

Purple Dragon Commission
It is the time of commissions, I am getting so many and I love it! This customer wanted a mix of dark and light purples. So I took my "Rainbow" black bag and sorted out all the purples and then mixed them with this lighter fuchsia to accomplish the look. Was it worth it to individually color sort a bag of iridescent black beads? Yes. Do I already have another commission requesting that I do so but this time for blue beads? Also yes. Do I feel crazy? Maybe. Is sorting beads th

Pink Dragon Commission
People are so creative! I wouldn't have ever thought to put gold spots on a pink dragon, nor would I have thought to have such heavy contrast with a black belly like this. But as always, the customer is always right in matters of taste. And they were right! I absolutely love how it came out! It is just so striking. I am ordering a different shade of gold and then I may just have to make another one!

Simple Drop Necklace
Since my drop earrings were so popular I decided to try to make a drop necklace. It is super simple and delicate and I have since added an extremely delicate silver chain to it. I love how it came out, I almost think it would have been better without that blue border but I regret nothing. This is one of my cheaper necklaces simply due to its ease of manufacture. Honestly I think it is beautiful and a good nod toward the minimalism of today's jewelry. The bead in the center is

Green Dragon Commission
I love making these dragon bracelets, and I get a lot of custom commission requests for them these days. This one was for a customer who needed an extra large size. I usually make them to fit 6-7 inch wrists, this one needed to fit an 8 inch wrist. No problem! But the only hold up was I had to find something to test the fit on, since obviously my wrist wouldn't work. The only thing I had on hand ended up being a pint of titos (the pros of beading in a liquor store) which happ

Green Cube Earrings
Once again I acknowledge that these are really rectangular prisms and not cubes, but it is how I recognize them and what I choose to call them. I am so glad that this pair sold because they represent an experiment of mine that I don't think succeeded. I usually make these with rondelles and I wanted to know what it would look like with delicas. I hate it. Some of that is my color scheme, it is just giving hulk to me idk why since there is no purple but it is what it is. The r

Green Floral Dragon Bracelet
This wasn't a commission! Just me trying my hand at a more complicated pattern. I wanted it to look like a field of flowers. I do think I sort of accomplished my goal. To an extent. But I think more simple patterns are a bit more legible. The tricky thing is that as big as these bracelets seem I am working with a pixelated offset grid that is only three pixels wide. There isn't much you can do in three pixels. Across a diagonal you can get six, but in one row, only three. I w

Custom Earrings
I posted a while ago about a woman who ordered custom tiny peyote earrings from me. I said I made 3 pairs and she picked two of them. Well, here are the two! I forgot to take too many pictures of them but here are the ones that I did take. She absolutely loved them and ended up giving me 5 stars for them! I am really proud of these and really grateful for the opportunity to make some custom pieces!

Granite Drop Earrings
This is still definitely my most popular style of earrings. Usually people gravitate toward the most neutral versions of it which since the last time around I used dyed red jasper for all of them was a bit of a challenge. Since I mostly used gold and black beads there were still a few winners in there, but I think this black on black with the granite is going to do really well! I have a few beads of a few different sizes so I will probably make a few more of this style in dif
