Shen the Dragon

Shen hails from the Tibetan mountains, and he wants nothing more than to explore the world. He worked as a cartographer for centuries, but the rise in satellite technology has made his flight less of an asset than it used to be. Now he must settle for being the first to map out and explore the peaks and valleys of high-altitude mountain ranges. So if you are ever hiking and you the rise that you just climbed seems a bit smoother and scalier than you expected. Be careful, you may have just climbed one of Shen's coils by mistake!
I have only made one of these. I want to make more. I really do I promise. He just took so dang long. And the pattern lies to you, it's like a high school math problem. It says one row, but that row is parts a-h. I get demoralized. I do love the results though. I really want to make a red one, and a white one. I do after all have three of them as my goal for the Renn Faire list. But honestly out of all the categories this is the one that I am least likely to succeed in. It is just so daunting to even make one more.
They are perfect for what he is but genuinely his toes are a monstrosity that haunt my nightmares. They are so long! Once again, they are perfect for a dragon. I also really like his eye frills, they just scream drama to me. This pattern is designed by Megan Lapp and is available on Ravelry here.
