Purple and Gold Peyote Twist Earrings

And now you see the fruit of my folly. I ran out of black. So sad. But it gave me a chance to try something unique. While I don't love the horizontal stripes I am really happy that I tried them. I think they could look really good in another colorway. I think the gold is too subtle of a change from the purple and the stripes kind of get lost.

I do wish I had still had the black to up the contrast on this pair but I think they made for a really good conclusion to this project. I am out of all three colors now! (Well mostly. I have about 23 of the purple beads and 7 of the gold. I don't know what on earth I am going to do with that but we will see.)

Which of the three pairs do you think was the best? Do you think this was a successful experiment? As far as cost evaluation goes, these are a profitable piece to make. The time it takes to make them and the cost of materials does make sense so that was definitely nice to find out. So much of what I make I make just because I like to make it and I don't really worry about making any money. It is always nice when something goes the other way too!
