Pink Cube Earrings

Every time I make a pair of these I feel the need to defend the fact that they are not technically cubes. I will say the same thing I always do, rectangular prism just doesn't roll of the tongue quite as nicely. And compared to the curves and diamond shapes I tend to make these are nearly perfect cubes.

This first photo of these may be the single most artsy photo I have ever taken. The leaf was a paid actor. I will never top it.

I wanted these earrings to feel feminine and subtle. Instead they are attention grabbers that to me give flamingo just a little bit. Not in a bad way, just something about them makes me think of a flamingo. I am not a pink person, I tend towards cool colors, but maybe that is why. I am not as familiar with how to make pink give the impression that I want. I just need more practice. Maybe you will see more pink pieces in the future as I try to fine tune that weakness of mine!
