Open Diamond Jasper with Hematite Earrings

Red Creek Jasper is found in China, and must be stabilized before it can be cut just like turquoise. Jasper is a form of chalcedony and is used to bring balance and relaxation. It can also be used to promote compassion, protection, and self-discipline.

These look really similar to another pair that I posted recently. That is on purpose. I made a series of three of this type of earring after I made one that was super popular and two different women wanted it. One of them purchased it and the other decided not to wait for me to make more. At the next gem show I bought three pairs of Red Creek Jasper Kites. The pair I posted before this one has only the Jasper and Miyuki beads in it and is super similar to this one. But, if you look at the bottom of these I include a small hematite bead at the tip of these diamonds. It is subtle but I didn't want all the pairs to be exactly the same. I had to give them some character right?

These earrings have so much movement they are just super fun!
