Gold Top Black Bottom Dyed Jasper Drops

I will try to describe some of the metaphysical properties of jasper but keep in mind this is heavily dyed jasper so it is difficult if not impossible to tell what kind of jasper it is. But in general jasper is considered a nurturing stone, known for its ability to ground and stabilize its bearer by providing comfort and security. It is thought that this nurturing/comforting property is the reason that Ancient Egyptians included it so frequently in burial procedures, often alongside inscriptions of the book of the dead. Perhaps believing it would help provide security on the journey through the afterlife.

LAST PAIR!!!! I am finally out of Jasper beads. Mostly. I have one left. But no more drops earrings since that takes two! I enjoyed making these. I am glad that I made these. I am even more glad that I cannot make any more! I had never made a pair with this particular pattern and I actually really liked it. I will definitely have to make more drops (with different beads) in this pattern again in the future. I am also really happy that I picked black and gold for the colors on this one. I think red beads would have been too much.
