Dyed Jasper Trapezoids

I really had fun with these. I think they are super simple and cute. Since they aren't a three dimensional design, they are even lighter than most of my earrings! (Which are never all that heavy anyway.) I loved making this design so much that I actually made a series of four of them. You can actually see some of my trial-and-error process turned design choice if you look closely. I like to make earrings not quite symmetrical and the central bead over the jasper stone is where I was able to make these a bit more unique than perfectly symmetrical. I also mirrored the design which is kind of a signature of mine!
Believe it or not I actually made these using peyote stitch instead of brick. Normally flat designs are brick stitch so it was really exciting for me to be able to find one that was made with peyote since I do prefer it! I also thought that the dyed jasper purple beads fit really well with the many purples I have so I was able to make each of the four in the series feel really different and really coherent!
At the end of the series I would love to hear which is your favorite!
