The second square using older yellow acrylics. Yarn weight four, (AKA 9 WPI, AKA Aran/Worsted). I used a J/6mm hook, and ended up with a square roughly 14.25 inches wide, so slightly smaller than the last one, but much stretchier. Its interesting that with a looser weave it still ended up a slightly smaller guage. This stitch is just a large crossing lace.
Chain 50
R1: skip first chain, sc in each chain (49 total stitches)
R2: Chain 5, *quintuple crochet (6 loops on hook) fourth stitch from turning chain, repeat 2 more times in next two stitches, quintuple crochet in first stitch after turning chain, repeat in next two stitches*, repeat from * in the fourth available stitch.
R3: Chain 1, sc in each stitch till end, including turning chain
R4 & 5: Repeat R3
Repeat rows 2-5 until it reaches your desired length.
