Dave the Dolphin

I rarely make sea creatures. Not for any specific reason, I just tend to gravitate towards other things. But I do like dolphins. I found this pattern on Ravelry, and I wanted to try it. His name is actually David, but that was too formal so he prefers to go by Dave. He used to have a fox girlfriend named Sylvia, but she had to move away.

Dave is pretty large, much larger then I expected when I started the pattern. Perfect size for a kiddo to hug though, so I still call it a win! I particularly love that this pattern kind of has a little spot for a blowhole. You can kind of see it on his forehead in the first picture. It isn't exactly where it should be but it is still a super cute detail!
