Short Sodalite Spike Earrings

Sodalite as a stone is tied very closely to the throat chakra which makes it extremely interwoven with speech. It enhances intuition and emotional balance as these things affect effective communication. It can be called the Poet's Stone or the Stone of Truth due to its ability to help its bearer articulate their thoughts and feelings with clarity and confidence. I make this style of earring with much longer stones usually, but I am on a constant quest to make something my mom would actually want to wear. (Side note I succeeded recently and she took a pair before I even got to photograph them.) Not necessarily because I want to make earrings for her but rather because I think she represents a fair portion of the jewelry market. Plus I like the challenge.

I use orange sodalite a lot, it is a relatively cheap stone that is still somewhat high on the mohs scales so its safe to use for jewelry. And blue is my favorite color so I always gravitate towards it. I think these came out super cute. I really love the quatrefoils on the top!
