Lapis Lazuli Trapezoid Earrings

Lapis Lazuli is often associated with deep inner wisdom and the awakening of intuitive abilities. Many believe it enhances clarity of thought, helping to reveal truth and encourage honest self-expression. Its calming yet powerful energy is said to support emotional healing and relieve stress. Lapis is also thought to strengthen spiritual connection, making meditation feel more grounded and insightful. Overall, it’s considered a stone of enlightenment, confidence, and inner harmony.

These were part of a little series I did trying to use a bunch of my stones that I found intimidating before a recent gem show. I wanted to clear out some of my stock to make room for more stones! These were a challenge due to their shape. Not only are they irregular trapezoids but they also had their holes drilled at the widest point of the trapezoid. Usually I try to put the heaviest part of the piece towards the bottom. Just for visual clarity. But I didn't want to leave big holes on the bottom of the earrings. So I had to get creative. I had a string of Lapis Lazuli chips and I tried dangling one from each of the holes and I actually really loved the look. I think it even balances out a bit of the irregularity in the trapezoids.
