Highlighter Bird Keychains

These are basically my favorite keychains. I call them highlighter birds cause they look like those little short fat highlighters that everyone was obsessed with in middle school. Plus, calling them that gives me an excuse to use all my neon colors to make them. They take around an hour to make, so they aren't particularly lucrative little beasts, but they are just so fun, I will never stop making them.
I usually make them in little batches so you'll always see them in groups. I don't mean to make little flocks it is just that when I make them I enjoy it so much that I make a bunch! Pinks and greens are my go to's for these little birds. I am not sure why. I think it is because the packages of embroidery floss that I buy tend to have significantly more oranges/pinks than any other color and except for stuff like fish and birds those are hard colors to use.
When I am making such small things they lose a lot of their shape definition and color becomes really important for making them visually identifiable. But birds look right when they are super brightly colored so I can get away with anything!
