Dumbo Octopus Keychain

I don't have much to say about these little fools except that they are adorable! I think they are my second favorite key chains to make. (Second only to the highlighter birds) If you decide you want to make these, please be aware that one skein of embroidery thread isn't enough for the whole pattern. You will need to omit the final row of the ruffle if you do not want to use two colors. I do that for mine, and while they are slightly less fluffy, they still definitely give off the impression of a little ruffle of tentacles.

They aren't my best sellers by any stretch, but they also aren't the worst. I have probably made around 13 of them, and they always sell, but it does always feel like they are someone's second choice. I made these two with safety eyes, but usually I just embroider eyes on them because they are so small, the safety eyes' posts tend to be extremely difficult to get between the stitches.
