Number 10/25! The dragon army grows! You might recognize these colors from Lydia! As always, I try to use up the scraps and leftovers from each project since it causes me so much stress to have a huge yarn hoard. This didn't use up much of the colors so we will see what I do. I don't think I have enough for a sleeping dragon, but I probably have enough for a few dinosaurs, or maybe even something new.
He is so angry, the anger contrasts so beautifully with his bright happy colors. The juxtaposition makes me giggle. This yarn also worked really well for his wings since it is just a tiny bit stiff. The wings actually hold themselves out in position very well. He is also a touch larger than the others, he was still made with a weight 4 yarn, but there is a fair bit of variation within that category.
I like that each dragon is unique. It makes it a little bit more interesting to make the same pattern so many times. Normally I only keep about two of these in stock at any given time. But with the renn faire preparations in mind I have to build up a few more. This is a challenge to my easily distracted self, but I am getting there!
