Black Onyx Studs

Onyx is often associated with strong protective energy, helping to shield against negativity and emotional overwhelm. These are flat back cabs that are like 1-2mm thick so I wasn't even sure I could work with them at all but I figured why not give it a go? Instead of making them into dangles I actually worked my flat stud earrings into the back of the beadwork so that these are nice light studs! It was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to do that. Usually when I bezel cabs the back is just about as open as the front is, but to be able to have the flatback studs as a choice I had to figure out how to close the backs completely. I did get it done but it took a while to math out.

And then I took this picture of them in my normal spot and it came out looking like a dorky face in huge glasses so I may have a new mascot!
