Someone saw that pair of purple earrings in the last picture and asked if I could make another pair in brown. She picked out the second lightest color in the piece and wanted me to base the rest of it around that. I almost used gold in place of black but I decided that it was too much and switched to black to keep them feeling like neutral pieces. I was shocked by how much the black really fades into the piece. Not in a bad way but in exactly what I hoped would happen.
I never would have put this colorway together but I absolutely love it. I will definitely have to make something else with it. I am thinking a nice pair of peyote twist pieces. I do feel a little bit bad that so many of the browns that I have are way darker than the one she initially picked, but she loved it and didn't seem to mind at all. The lightest color? Also not even brown. Its pink! I just knew that it would be so small in the piece and that next to the browns it would seem like a light tan. And despite my usual color challenges I was actually right this time! Proud of myself.
If I did make a pair of Twisted Peyote Leaf earrings in this colorway which four colors would you pick and which one would you exclude?
