I don't usually use brick stitch, it is fun, but I just don't like it as much as I do peyote stitch. I only know how to use it for flat objects, whereas I can make three dimensional shapes with peyote. That being said, the brick stitch is perfect when I want the color patterns to be the star of the show like in this pair.
The colors give me Atlantis vibes, but the Disney Atlantis the movie specifically. I think its the blue gradient that really sells it. I did almost keep these for myself, but I decided that they should go out on the sale shelf. No one has bitten yet but hopefully soon. I have them priced at $25, largely just because brick stitch is extremely slow compared to peyote, but that might just be because I don't do it as much.
You almost can't tell because the gradient is so subtle but there are actually four different shades of blue that I used in this project, until you get to the darkest one they fade into each other so perfectly.
Supplies:
Darkest Blue was Opaque Evergreen DB2358V
Sky Blue (These were a gift so sadly I don't have all the information for you)
