I made these as part of a series of trying to work on my scariest stones. These ones freaked me out because I just loved the colors so much, and I was afraid of ruining them. While the patterns are a fun challenge to make the solid color dragons do always sell faster and more efficiently than the more complicated ones. When you are wearing the bracelet I think it is easier to style a solid gold bangle than a complicated colorful one. Plus there is the saying that it should be interesting through, color, shape, texture, or material but not all at once. These have an amazing texture, and sometimes adding color can be too much. This was my first stab at putting a pattern in the dragon's scales and I was really happy with how snakelike it came out. I thought it would end up a lot more symmetrical than it did, but the offset of the scale gave it a wiggly, more natural look. It wasn't my intent but I love it. I also intended for it to have an entirely black belly but I ran out of black beads pretty early on so I transitioned to a gold gradient and finished it out in gold.
