Jade as a stone gets its long history from Eastern Asia, primarily in China where evidence of it traces back nearly as far as we have artifacts! It is believed to bring good luck, friendship, peace and harmony. All over the world people who want to improve their luck use jade to help them. It isn't often used during meditation but it is a calming stone, and just sitting quietly alone with it is shown to help bring inner peace. It pairs extremely well with bloodstone metaphysically.
Before I had decided that my tie-shaped earring with the teardrop stones was going to be my signature style, I tried this version of a 3D peyote shape with a stone hanging in the middle. This was one of the very first things I ever made with a real stone inside it. I have had it in my store since around late November or early December and no one has jumped on it. I have considered taking it apart to reuse the beads and the stones, but honestly, I don't want to. Even if it never sells it was one of the first things I made, I tried something completely new and I didn't follow a pattern to do it. I like what it represents on my beading journey even if it isn't a popular store item.
I understand a bit why it hasn't sold. I pulled the string a little too tight on one side causing it to bow just a little instead of being a squared off rectangle. And they are large, not heavy, but long so it would take someone willing to wear a statement piece to be able to pull these off. I know there is someone out there who will just love these. I have two other pairs of Jade, one with red on the bottom and one with red speckling that I haven't decided what to do with. We will see when I do just how much my skills have improved from these early pieces!
