Afghanite Tie Earrings

When I posted about my Turquoise Tie Earrings I mentioned that this is one of my favorite styles of earrings, and now you get to see it again with a new stone! I hadn't ever worked with Afghanite before, but to me it kind of looks like it's made of denim. I first tried to have the main color of the ties be a grey, since that is the predominant color of the stone but that was way too dull. It washed the stone out and made everything look boring. I don't know if I personally think the white is perfect but it is stunning and significantly better than the grey was.

Afghanite is a stone known for its spiritual properties. It can be used to help one feel more connected to the spirits around us. It can be used to help you understand the paths laid out before you and what life might have in store for you. Some lines of thinking agree that you can use it for those purposes but that it helps with critical thinking rather than spiritual connection. But either way it helps with understanding the future and options in front of you.

This is a really nice subtle piece. I love that it comes across light with accents of blue and it is one of my favorites that I have ever made!
