My First Teddy Bear

Weirdly enough, out of all of the things I have ever made, I have never made a teddy bear. I don't know how this oversight happened, but it is now remedied! This pattern is so cute. It did take a little bit to work up, but I had a lot of fun doing it. I almost never keep the things I have made, I make way too many things to do that. But I do think I will keep this little guy. I have no kids, and neither do any of my siblings but I think I would like to give this to a kid I know. No one specific just to have it when I come across a kid who needs a little teddy bear.

I thought this yarn was super cute as a skein and I was really excited to work with it. In practice the bear kinda just ended up looking like he's got a ton of skin tags. I bought it in a few colors so you will probably see a few more projects using it, but I really doubt I will ever buy it again. I still like the speckled effect a lot, but I don't like the three dimensional aspect.

His eyes are fully sewed on, again to the end of giving it to a young child in the future. They aren't quite symmetrical but I think they are still super cute! He has a personality. I haven't named him yet so I am open to suggestions!

This pattern is available for free on Ravelry here.
