Happy Sleeping Fox

I love making foxes. I almost never have orange yarn around because of how many foxes I like to make. And this little fox is really cool because it is the first fox I have ever made that made it to the sale shelf without getting claimed by a friend or family member. It is a little bittersweet, but it is a brand new pattern so maybe it isn't as cute as some of the others? Or maybe I just saturated my personal fox network finally. Who knows?

I love how her little eyelids manage to look so happy even though her eyes are closed. I don't usually get to pick what expression my creatures have, it just kind of happens. And that is what happened here too. I don't mean I have no control, I know if I had put the curve of the eyes the other direction she would look more tired, and by putting it upwards it was more likely that she would be happy. But still, sometimes the expression ends up slightly different than how I intended.

She has no name but I find her to be one of the cutest faces I have ever made. I did say that she made it to the sale shelf, but I will also say she didn't last long on it. It only took two weekends for her to be claimed by a little girl. Darn. Now I have to make another fox. How terrible.
