I used to go to a retirement home in my area every week and knit/crochet with the old ladies there. They didn't have a ton of need for the things they were making so most of it was donated or given to their family members. They particularly loved making hats and donating them to a charity in our area that benefits the homeless. I chose to make quite a few. When I left for college I asked my parents to donate the last of them for me, but unfortunately they forgot and I cannot find the charity myself. These are the hats that remain. I crocheted them using heavy weight yarns (5/6) but do not remember the specific brand or pattern that I used.
